What is the Teebah Adhan Competition?
The Teebah Adhan Competition, hosted in association with Islam Channel, offers a unique opportunity to showcase the art of Adhan recitation. Open to participants from all backgrounds, this competition celebrates the diversity and vocal traditions of the Islamic world.
Who can participate in the competition?
The competition is open to male participants across three age groups: under 16 and 16+
How do I enter the competition?
To enter, first submit your video recording of the Adhan, then pay the £30 registration fee via the application form
Note: 100% of the registration fees will support Teebah Foundation’s charitable projects.
When is the deadline to submit my entry?
Registration opens on 1 December 2024, and all entries must be submitted by 5 February 2025.
How will my entry be judged?
Entries will be judged based on Tajweed skills, beauty of voice, and the heartfelt delivery of the Adhan. Finalists will be invited to the Islam Channel for a final judging.
How many winners will be selected?
One winner will be chosen from each age category, totalling two winners.
What are the prizes for the winners?
The winners will have the honour of performing the Adhan before esteemed Azhari Sheikhs on Islam Channel. Additionally, trophies will be awarded to the winners, and the show will be broadcast live on Islam Channel during the sacred month of Ramadan.
Do I need any special equipment for my submission?
Professional equipment isn’t required, but ensure your recording is clear and of good quality to highlight your performance.
How will I know if I’ve won?
Winners will be announced live on Islam Channel, and successful participants will be contacted directly via email and phone.
What are the stages of the competition, and where will it take place?
The first selection will take place online. Successful participants will be contacted and invited to attend the competition in person at

Stage 1: 32 participants
Stage 2 (Quarter-finals): 16 participants
Stage 3 (Semi-finals): 8 participants
Final Stage: 2 participants and 1 winner
How were the jury members selected?
The members of the judging panel were selected based on their extensive experience in the fields of Adhan (call to prayer), Quran Tajweed, the science of Qira’at (Quranic readings), and the science of vocal maqamat.
